The device offers a “fermentation monitor” and standard mode with real-time results without any separate calculation or distillation. Samples are prepared with an integrated peristaltic pump.
Bedford Technology launched a new line of FiberForce plastic posts designed for use in viticulture. The FiberForce line includes plastic end posts, line posts, cross arms, growth stakes and anchor stakes. The posts can be used for all trellising methods and according to the supplier can last for up to 50 years or more with little to no maintenance.
Börger unveiled its new ONIXline rotary lobe pumps that feature new rotors and a “flow-optimized” casing to “ensure the best efficiency even with high pressures.” The new pumps also offer a compact design and nearly pulsation free operation. An improved carrier and timing gear also make the ONIXline pumps the most efficient on the market, according to the supplier.
Chart Industries' IntroDoser is designed to be an economic option for smaller wineries, hand bottling or lab use. The device is manually filled with either an open-top dewer or transfer hose from a low pressure liquid source. An electronic controller monitors dosing levels, and the machine can be operated via a sensor that detects a container or a foot pedal to activate the dosing head cycle.

Ametek’s new Spectroblue spectrometer features a laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor generator that delivers up to 1,700 watts of power. The new generator delivers faster warm-up times and “excellent matrix compatibility.” The machine’s air-cooled system operates without the need for external cooling.
