Lots of Champagne and sparkling wine recommendations this week, including columns by Eric Asimov in the New York Times, and Dave McIntyre in the Washington Post.  Wine blogger Tyler Colman (Dr. Vino) takes a look at the inner workings of DomaineFaiveley and likes what he sees.  And, in the San Francisco Chronicle, columnist Jon Bonne recalls his most interesting wines of the year, which include a 1972 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that speaks of a better stylistic period for Napa Valley winemakers.  JG
