Houston Chronicle: Sports columnist Dale Robertson debuts this week at the new wine writer for the Chronicle. Yalumba Barossa Shiraz 2004 is cited as a value, and local retailer Bear Dalton recommends d'Arenberg 'Sticks & Stones' 2004.

Arizona Republic: Wine columnist Mark Tarbell on wines to enjoy with takeout food. Cited are Graff Riesling 2006, and Banfi Col di Sasso 2006.

Nashville Tennessean: Wine columnist Frank Sutherland on Pinot Gris wines. Top choice is Erath Oregon Pinot Gris 2006.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune: Wine columnist Bill Ward on negotiating wine lists and enjoying wine inrestaurants.
