Former Napa Vintners spokesman, Terry Hall, dies at 59

Napa, Calif.—Terry Hall, described as a “champion of the Napa Valley and Yosemite National Park,” died April 20 at the age of 59 following a long illness. Hall came to Napa Valley in 1997 and held leadership positions at Meadowood Resort, Trefethen Vineyards, Napa Valley Vintners and had launched his own communications firm TH Ink. Hall was a founding board member of the Symposium of Professional Wine Writers and served on the boards of Clinic Ole and Visit Napa Valley. Before working in Napa, Hall worked at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite and managed May Lake High Sierra Camp, White Wolf Lodge and Yosemite Lodge.

A celebration of his life, hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners and Trefethen Vineyards, will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the villa at Trefethen Vineyards. Please bring a bottle of Napa Valley wine to share. Donations in Terry’s honor may be made to the Yosemite Conservancy or Napa Valley’s OLE Health.
