Hopland, Calif.—John Kane is the new director of winemaking and winery operations for Fetzer Vineyards in Mendocino County. Kane joins Fetzer after recently founding his own label, JCK Wine Company, in 2014. Prior to that, he worked at Rosenblum Cellars where he started his career as an intern in 2001. In his newly created position with Fetzer, Kane will lead winemaking for the company’s flagship brand, Fetzer, and contribute to innovation and quality improvements for all brands in the company’s portfolio. Additionally, Kane will assume management of lab, logistics and cellar operations.
