In the New York Times, wine writer Howard Goldberg suggests many fine Long Island wine selections for Thanksgiving. Certainly, the Long Island wine industry (and New Jersey) have much to be thankful for, having mostly dodged the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. Many other Thanksgiving wine pairings abound, from the Gamay picks of Jon Bonne and the tasting panel at the San Francisco Chronicle to an eclectic global selection from Bill Ward in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Whatever graces your table on Thursday, everyone at Wine Opinions wishes you a very happy Thanksgiving with your family and friends. JG
