Bloomberg News Service: Wine columnist Elin McCoy on a recent tasting of classified wines of Bordeaux. With a focus on the 2006 vintage, some stand-out wines named are Lynch-Bages, Rauzan-Segla, Canon, Leoville Poyferre, Pichon Baron, and Figeac. Nice comment also for Chateau Lagrange as a good value. Financial Times: Wine columnist Jancis Robinson on the struggle to get wineries to adopt lighter weight bottles and other 'green' packaging changes. Also, nice comments on two wines produced to benefit charitable causes - Red Nose Chenin Blanc 2008, and Red Nose Pinotage Shiraz 2008 - that are shipped in lightweight glass bottles. (Link)
