Napa Vintners gives $2.8 million for children's education

St. Helena, Calif.—The Napa Valley Vintners will give $2.8 million in proceeds from its annual Auction Napa Valley to various local groups that support children’s education. The group invested $800,000 in the Napa Valley Early Learning Initiative (NVELI), and has already provided $3 million to the NVELI, which is working to close the educational achievement gap for English language learners in Napa County.

The nonprofit organizations receiving the remaining $2 million serving nearly 20,000 Napa youth (along with nearly 8,000 teachers and school administrators) are: Aim High; Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay; Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa and American Canyon; Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga; Child Start; Community Resources for Children; Napa CASA; NapaLearns; On the Move; and Summer Search.
