Financial Times:  Wine columnist Jancis Robinson on a tasting of Bordeaux wines from the 1999 vintage.  Extensive review, with good value recommendations for Chateau Bernadotte, Chateau La Grave a Pomerol, Domaine de Chevalier, Chateau Gruaud Larose, and Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. (Link)

Arizona Republic: Wine columnist Mark Tarbell reports from the Los Angeles International Wine Competition.  Also, recommendations for Zenato Pinot Grigio 2007, Chalone Chardonnay 2007, Burgans Albarino 2007, Sagelands Vineyard Merlot 2006, and Teira Zinfandel 2005. (Link) 

Minneapolis Star Tribune: Wine writer Bill Ward on the evolution of dry red and white wines from Portugal.  Producers recommended are Fuzelo, Gazela, Pavao, and Terra Antiga (for Vinho Verde) and Grand'Arte (for Albarino).  For red wines from the Douro, producers recommended are Altano, CARM, Chuchill Estates, Prazo de Roriz, and Quinta do Coa.  Other red wine producers noted are Irreverente, Manuel Bairrada, Monte de Peceguna, Monte das Oliveiras, Quinta de Dona Maria, Quinta do Alqueve Traditional, and Quinta do Grilos.
