Oakville, Calif.—Mike and Talley Henry have purchased Acre winery in Napa Valley. Founded by Dave Becker and Bob Babbe in 2002, the winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel wines with Napa Valley grapes. The company’s single-vineyard brand One Acre was also included in the sale. Mike Henry, whose wine industry background includes sales, sales management and most recently brand management with The Henry Wine Group, the California division of The Winebow Group, will oversee the combined Acre Wines portfolio, managing production and brand development. Talley Henry, formerly an attorney with Nixon Peabody and the U.S. Navy, will oversee the winery’s DTC sales.  Babbe and Becker will continue to work with the Acre Wines team. Richard Bruno is joining Acre as consulting winemaker.
