Napa, Calif.—Matthew Wood is the new vice president of operations for Hess Family Wine Estates. Wood will oversee the company’s operations department as well as supply planning. Prior to joining Hess, Wood worked at Treasury Wine Estates where he held several positions in strategic planning, operations and logistics. “This is a new role which has been created to ensure that we are supporting our commercial success with excellent supply–side planning and development,” said Timothy Persson, the president and CEO of Hess Family Wine Estates. “Matt will assume responsibility for our operations department as well as our supply planning process, which covers everything from fruit supply through to the point at which wine leaves our warehouse.”
