Rohnert Park, Calif.—Sonoma State University’s Wine Business Institute plans to launch the Wine Business Case Journal, an open-access, electronic journal “dedicated to advancing wine business practices and pedagogy through the enhancement of case research and publishing of exceptional case studies involving real people and real events in the global wine business context.” The institute will release its first issue of the journal in spring 2016 and is accepting cases for consideration until June 30, 2015.

"This is an opportunity to help the next generation of wine business leaders and educators — industry professionals, students, and aspiring case writers — to have better and more exciting tools to use in the field and in the classroom," said Armand Gilinsky, SSU's Korbel professor of wine business and founding editor of the journal.

The Wine Business Case Research Journal will be overseen by an editorial board from universities across the globe, including participants from the KEDGE Business School in France, University of Cape Town in South Africa, Baylor University, Hochschule Ludwigshafen in Germany, and ESADE in Spain. In addition, Gilinsky recruited SSU wine business MBA alumna, Nicole Hitchcock, as ssistant editor.
