Napa grower Herb Lamb dies

St. Helena, Calif.—Herb Lamb, a past director if the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, died peacefully under Hospice care Dec. 10 at the age of 64.

The growers group released a statement saying: “A Napa native, co-owner of Herb Lamb Vineyards, and co-founder of Napa Valley Ag Supply, Herb was an integral part of the Napa Valley and he will be greatly missed. In addition to the NVG, Herb was a supporter of the local 4-H and FFA, the St. Helena Rotary, a Native Son of the Golden West, and most recently on the board of the Napa County Mosquito Abatement.”

Lamb is survived by his wife, Jennifer, two daughters, Meghan Lamb and Melissa (Jared) Baucom, a granddaughter Sterley, and his sister Nancy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother.
