St. Helena, Calif.—Jim Huntsinger, executive vice president of production for Trinchero Family Estates, announced his plans to retire at the end of the year after working for more than 50 years in the wine industry. Huntsinger started his career at Almaden Wines and then Korbel Champagne Cellars, where he worked for 14 years before joining Sutter Home in 1987. At the time Sutter Home was the Trinchero’s only brand, and Huntsinger helped grow the company’s portfolio to more than 40 brands and 500 SKUs. In addition to managing production, Huntsinger also oversaw new facility development and acquisition including the company’s new winery in Lodi, Calif., which will open in 2015.
