Napa, Calif.—A handful of tickets remain available for the second annual Wines & Vines Packaging Conference this Wednesday, which will feature four educational sessions, two limited-seating tastings, a focused trade show and other activities centered around wine package design and performance.

Conference sessions, breakfast, lunch, a targeted trade show and wine reception are all included in the $199 registration fee. Passes for exhibits and lunch only are now being offered at $39. The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The morning’s keynote speaker will be Joe Wagner, a member of Napa Valley’s Wagner Family of Wine and founder of Copper Cane Wine & Provisions, who recently sold the Meiomi brand to Constellation Brands. Wagner will describe the role that packaging played in the success of his family’s wines including Belle Glos, Mer Soleil and others.

During an interactive hour starting at 10:45 a.m., registrants will conduct “speed dates” with leading package designers, begin voting for the best packages on display and visit the sparkling wine bar. Forty exhibitors will present their latest products and services in the trade show from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Results of an exclusive Nielsen study of consumer opinions about the package design of leading Cabernet Sauvignon brands will be revealed in the afternoon. Other sessions and speakers will address quality control during bottling, natural cork quality control, advances in materials and design, and creative packaging and like kegs and screwcaps and how they affect wine quality.

The conference, which drew 350 attendees in 2014, is now in it second year. For more information and to register, visit wvpack.com, email events@winesandvines.com or call (866) 453-9701, ext. 102.
