Napa, Calif.—Trinchero Family Estates, TFE, announced in a press release the appointment of Bob Torkelson to president and CEO, effective immediately. Torkelson will be taking over leadership of the company from Roger Trinchero who is retiring from the role of CEO but will still remain as chairman of the board of directors. Torkelson, previously TFE’s President and COO, was described in the winery’s statement as “instrumental in growing the business that is now the second largest family-owned wine business in the United States.”

Trinchero originally hired Torkelson in December of 1996 as vice president of sales in the central division, based in Chicago. In 2004, Torkelson was promoted to president of Trinchero Family Estates and has resided in Napa with his family since that time.
