Lompoc, Calif—Brewer-Clifton is the latest acquisition by Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Jackson Family Wines. Founder and winemaker Greg Brewer announced the sale and described it as “the opportunity of a lifetime for me personally.” The acquisition includes 60 acres of estate vineyards, the secondary label Diatom and a long-term lease of the winery in Lompoc. Brewer founded the winery in 1996 with original partner Steve Clifton. Brewer had already sold a majority stake in the company to Ken Fredrickson and other investors in 2015.
