Livermore, Calif.—Amy Hoopes is the new president of Wente Family Estates and Karl D. Wente is the new chief operations officer and chief winemaker. Hoopes has worked at the winery since 2007 and was promoted from the post of executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Karl D. Wente, fifth generation family member, was promoted from winemaker and his new role will include vineyard management for the winery's estate vineyards. Both Hoopes and Wente will report to CEO and fourth generation family member Carolyn Wente.
