Paso Robles, Calif.—The Rhône Rangers will present its fourth annual Lifetime Achievement Award to Bill Easton, who has worked with Rhône variety wines for more than 35 years. Easton founded the wine shop Solano Cellars in 1978 and later launched his own wine brand Terre Rouge to produce Rhône wines. In 1985, with his wife Jane O’Riordan, he founded his eponymous winery in the Sierra Nevada foothills. “Bill is a true pioneer,” said Rhône Rangers board member Stuart Montgomery. “He was present at the some of the first discussions in starting the organization and today helps the association — leading by example and making beautiful Rhône wines. We’re honored to recognize him for his efforts.” The Rhône Rangers is holding its annual celebration in San Francisco on June 10-11. Visit here for more information: rhonerangers.org
