Glen Ellen, Calif.—Tyler Galts is the new president of Madrone Vineyards Estate. Galts comes to the Sonoma Valley from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley where he was a key leader in the development of Quails’ Gate Winery. Galts joined Madrone Vineyards Estate in January to oversee wine production, marketing and hospitality.

Madrone Vineyards Estate is part of Valley of the Moon Winery and both are part of Bacas Family Estates winery portfolio, which is owned by the Stewart family of British Columbia. Tony Stewart is the chief executive officer of Bacas, which also includes Quails’ Gate Winery, Lake Sonoma winery and Plume Napa.
