Bakersfield, Calif.—AgSafe is holding a series of workshops in California’s Central Valley and Central Coast about how to pay workers with a “piece rate.” The sessions, to be conducted in Spanish and English, will provide an overview of basic wage and hour regulations, review the concept of “non-productive time” and how to calculate it and provide best practice recommendations for documentation and how to create a system to account for non-productive time. The three-hour workshops will be held in Bakersfield and Oxnard on April 7, Fresno and Santa Maria on April 8 and in Salinas on April 9.
