St. Helena, Calif.—Registration is now open for the Innovation + Quality (IQ) Conference, which is focused exclusively on ultra-premium wineries. IQ will take place March 4, at Charles Krug Winery in the Napa Valley and is hosted by Wine Business Monthly. “The goal of IQ is to showcase innovations in techniques and equipment that advance the quality of the world's finest wines,” said Wine Business Monthly publisher, Eric Jorgensen.

The one-day event offers educational sessions, professional tastings, an interactive trials tasting, product demonstrations and a tradeshow with more than 100 wine industry suppliers. Some of the topics that will be covered at the inaugural event include:

• “Measuring Phenolics to Achieve Your Winemaking Goals”, moderated by Corey Beck, Francis Ford Coppola Winery

• ”Comparing Wines Fermented in Concrete, Oak or Stainless Steel Vessels”

• “Is Optical Sorting Appropriate for Grapes destined for Ultra-Premium Wines?”

• “Applied Research”, with research findings that can be put to use in the cellar immediately

• “What Works for Reducing Water Usage in Your Vineyard.”

Registration for IQ is available online at winebusinessiq.com. Early registration discounts and special discounted prices for wine industry association members are available through Feb. 13.
