Napa, Calif.—Genevieve Janssens is moving from the post of director of winemaking to chief winemaker at Robert Mondavi Winery and Nova Cadamatre has rejoined the winery as senior director of winemaking.

According to a statement released by the winery, Janssens will continue to “provide insight into the heritage and history of the vineyards, winery and legacy of Robert Mondavi” as she worked alongside the founder until his death in 2008 and then continued to oversee winemaking. Cadamatre, who recently became a Master of Wine, will take over day-to-day management of the winemaking program.

Cadamatre and Janssens worked together at Robert Mondavi from 2013 to 2015 on red wine production. Cadamatre also previously worked in winemaking at Beringer Vineyards, Chateau St. Jean and Chateau Souverain. “Nova’s dedication to excellence embodies the Robert Mondavi winemaking philosophy,” Janssens said in the press release announcing the changes. “She is the perfect addition to our team and will carry the torch forward so that future generations can experience and enjoy Robert Mondavi’s vision of balanced, world-class wines.”
