Duckhorn Merlot named Wine Spectator wine of year
Napa, Calif.—The Wine Spectator magazine named the 2014 Duckhorn Merlot Napa Valley Three Palms Vineyard as its 2017 Wine of the Year. The magazine's top ten wines of the year were released in advance of the complete 100 wine list. The winning bottles are selected by the publication's panel of critics from the 16,000 wines reviewed in blind tastings.
The other domestic wines in the magazine's top ten list include a 2014 K Syrah Walla Walla Valley Powerline Estate, 2014 Meyer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, 2015 Pahlmeyer Chardonnay Napa Valley and 2014 Booker Oublié Paso Robles.
