Napa, Calif.—The American Vineyard Foundation (AVF) board approved $1.3 million in funding for 23 research projects that cover viticulture and enology. The AVF received 63 proposals and each proposal was evaluated by one of six AVF review committees for scientific merit, the ability to accomplish stated objectives and to deliver value to the industry.

A few of the funded projects include $155,900 for “Grapevine Leafrool Virus 3 Grape Mealybug," $100,000 for “Rootstock Breeding” and $120,300 for “Grapevine Pinot Gris Virus in California.” A complete list of the funded projects can be found at www.avf.org/research.html
