San Francisco, Calif.—The Wine Institute reports California wine shipments within the U.S. reached 215 million in 2013, which is an increase of 3% over the previous year. Domestic wine sales also grew by 5% in value to $23.1 billion. The total U.S. wine market grew 3% to 375.2 million cases, and California’s share of that reached 57%. The state accounted for 90% of the 48.4 million cases of U.S. wine that was exported in 2013.
