The University Institute of Vine and Wine (IUVV) has a triple mission of higher education, research and technology transfer. The IUVV manages its own domaine of 3ha in Marsannay Village appellation. It thus has a viticultural and oenological experiment center.

The University Institute of Vine and Wine is a multidisciplinary higher education, research and development center dedicated to meeting the challenges facing the wine industry of tomorrow. The IUVV brings together all research, training and technology transfer teams of the numerous partners working in the wine sector on the Burgundy site. The Institute also participates in the animation of a UNESCO Chair "Wine and Culture" created in October 2006 at the University of Burgundy.
